We’re very pleased to have been commissioned by Lifelink in Glasgow to work on a new film and photography project with local people in the North East of Glasgow who have lost someone to suicide.
We know this will be a challenging and thought-provoking project and we are ready to really support people through an engaging creative process. it’s going to be 12 weeks long project (8 weeks of workshops) and we’re really looking to making an intelligent and heartfelt film or series of films, as well as a series of photographs with this group.
The direction of the work that we do will be led by the group participants who will share their own personal stories and feelings about the person they lost to suicide.
We see this as an opportunity to be more creative and innovative in terms of our collaborative process and hope that by doing so, the whole process will be more interactive for the participants and for us as film-makers.
We also hope that the message that the film sends out will be more poignant and will help viewers deal better with their grief or encourage them to get the support that they need.
If you know of anyone in the North of Glasgow or the North East of Glasgow who might benefit from getting involved in this project or needs needs support because they have been bereaved by suicide, please contact: www.lifelink.org.uk or phone 0141 552 4434.
